The octopus APEKS XTX50 has the same parameters as the second stage. This automat is a very advanced construction with smooth control of operating parameters. It is a step with a pneumatically balanced valve. This results in insensitivity of respiratory parameters to possible changes in interstage pressure and ensures high expenditure of the machine, regardless of the supply pressure value. It has a smooth adjustment of the pressure of the valve plug and a smooth adjustment of the support level during the inspiratory phase (so-called I.V.S. - integrated support system using the Venturi effect). This allows you to adjust the parameters of the machine's operation depending on individual preferences, depth and type of diving. No construction with fixed settings or having only the possibility of pre-adjustment before diving does not provide such possibilities. In addition, an effective heat exchanger is built into the stage, which protects it against freezing to a large extent.
