Own dive computer is an obligatory piece of equipment for every diver. It is a basic element of our equipment because it is responsible for our safety. While, starting the adventure with this sport, being on a course, you can refrain from buying a computer, insofar as, if after the course we plan to dive, the computer will be necessary. Of course, theoretically you can rent it, but in our opinion, the dive computer as well as the breathing apparatus and wetsuit should have their own.
Dive computer is a device characterised by very high functionality. Although most models look like a traditional watch, their possibilities are really very wide. With their help, we can monitor all the measurements necessary during safe dives under water. They will calculate for us the time, the depth of descent and the so-called NDL (Non Decompression Limit), which, in the simplest terms, is the time determining how long we can safely stay underwater at a particular depth without decompression, but only a safety stop.
In more advanced dive computer models, you will also find such functionalities as 3D compass, diver's heart rate analysis, colour display or possibility of connecting the computer with a cylinder pressure sensor. Most of the dive computers available on Divezone.co.uk also have the ability to transfer all the data to a laptop or desktop computer, so you can have all the necessary measurements in one place. More and more dive computers communicate with a PC via Bluetooth and allow wireless charging (such as in phones). Your own dive computer is also a great way to digitally monitor all your progress. It provides an electronic version of a logbook where we can collect all the relevant information from each dive.
